Shades of Blue

There’s a certain shade of gray that hides between blue and purple, but hinges closely to black. It appears in well-light rooms, without shadow, but in way that makes the room feel darker. When the rain parts company with the day, the reader is left with one conclusion. It’s on the tip of my tongue, but my eyes hurt too much; it’s too pretty.
